E O Automóvel Líder De Vendas Em 2011 Foi…
O Corolla conseguiu administrar o topo do pódio que ocupa desde 1997, mesmo com o desastroso tsunami que abalou a Toyota, e foi mais uma vez o veículo mais vendido do planeta.
De acordo com uma pesquisa da Forbes, o Corolla (sedã médio da Toyota) foi o carro mais vendido do mundo no ano de 2011, alcançando o número de 1,02 milhão. Os brasileiros também deram preferência ao Corolla, e compraram 53 mil unidades ao longo do ano.
O Corolla é fabricado em 15 países – aqui no Brasil, o automóvel é produzido em Indaiatuba, interior de São Paulo – e é vendido em mais de 140 mercados. A liderança do Corolla não foi abalada pelo desastroso tsunami que invadiu o Japão em março, prejudicando a Toyota. Em 2005, o automóvel atingiu o recorde de vendas de um único veículo, com 1,36 milhão. E a baixa no volume este ano, não foi suficiente para tirar o veículo da ponta do ranking.
O Hyundai Elantra ficou em segundo colocado, atingindo 1,01 milhão de veículos vendidos. Isso mostra que as novidades estéticas que a Hyundai vem apresentando, estão fazendo efeito na hora das vendas. Na terceira colocação, ficou a minivan Wuling Sunshine, fabricada pela Joint Venture (fruto da junção entre a General Motors e a SAIC) que é o automóvel mais vendido na China, obtendo 943 mil unidades vendidas no mundo.
A lista segue com Ford Focus (919 mil), Kia Rio (815.337), Ford Fiesta (781,1 mil), Volkswagen Jetta (745 mil), Toyota Camry (726 mil), Chevrolet Cruze (691 mil) e por fim, o Volkswagen Golf (648 mil).
Estes números ainda são uma amostra do resultado final, que será apresentando em janeiro deste ano.
