A New Taurus For 2010 : Ford’s Taurus Is Better Than Ever

 

The 2010 Taurus has been completely redesigned; the newer model is much more attractive than its predecessor and it’s been improved tremendously inside and out. The Taurus is a large full sized sedan that comfortably seats five individuals. The redesigned Taurus has a new grille, updated sporty looking headlights and offers a more quiet ride versus previous versions. There are 4 trim levels available, the SE, SEL, Limited and SHO. The Taurus will compete in the full sized sedan segment with best-selling autos like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. The starting price is around $26k.

The new Taurus SHO model features a 3.5 Liter V6 engine with a massive 365 horsepower, which is quite good when you consider how powerful the car is. The SHO can shoot from 0-60 mph in just six seconds. Gas mileage for the SHO model is 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the freeway. Regular Taurus models will also makes use of the 3.5L V6 engine and output 263 HP with 249 of pound feet of torque.  Gas mileage for the SHO trim stands at 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the freeway.

The cabin of the Taurus is well designed and features ample passenger space. The contoured seats are extremely comfortable and offer excellent back support and actually help reduce driver fatigue. The controls are illuminated by a cool blue lighting and there is ambient lighting available with adjustable colors. Another plus is the massive trunk space which is over 20 cubic feet. This is one of the largest cargo trunks available on the market for such an affordable car.

An advanced navigation system can be added as an option, which will provide you with detailed turn by turn directions.The keyless entry keypad allows you to open the doors without using a key, you just simply touch the keypad and it lightens up. With the SHO trim there is an innovative rear camera available which allows you to view directly what is behind you on the navigation screen or the rearview mirror. The optional SYNC system allows handy compatibility with MP3 players and Bluetooth devices. With Sync, you can even receive traffic updates and business searches right through your speakers.

In terms of safety features, the Taurus offers anti lock brakes, front and side curtain airbags, rain sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, traction control, an anti-skid system and a Blind Spot Information system which alerts you when there is another vehicle driving in your blind spot. A Tire Pressure Monitoring system is in place which informs you when your vehicle’s tire pressure is in need of adjusting.

If you are looking for a full sized car with all an athletic profile and the latest safety features then take a look at the 2010 Taurus. The base price for the 2010 model is round $26k and can vary depending on the trims and options selected. Although the Taurus will function great as a family sedan, the 2010 version is still sporty and cool looking due to its updated design and beautiful lines. The Taurus Limited trim can even stand against entry level luxury cars such as the Nissan Maxima or Lincoln’s MKZ. The 2010 model is much improved, inside and out. Ford’s New Taurus Is Making Waves

Forget your grandma’s old sedan: The all-new Ford Taurus is back in style! The 2011 Ford Taurus is unquestionably the most ground-breaking new sedan of the year.
